Taya's Birthday
Taya turned three years old. Yes, THREE YEARS OLD.
I asked her what kind of cake she wanted, and she immediately replied "pink pony cake!" No surprise since her best friends are two pink ponies that she is rarely seen without these days. So the pony cake pan got pulled out once again to Taya's delight.
She didn't even wait for us to stop singing happy birthday before she was blowing out the candles. Taya's not one for waiting as a general rule.
My parenting standards have apparently slipped. I not only gave them cake for breakfast the next morning, but also for lunch that day too. But just look at those little smiles - I really didn't have much choice.
Happy birthday Taya!
How did she grow up so fast? Cliche I know, but Taya didn't stay a baby even when she was a baby. By 9 months old she was walking and has been keeping up with her older sisters ever since. She may be the smallest, but what she lacks in size she more than makes up for in her antics and a will to conquer any obstacle in her path. We sure do love this little goober.
